Stop the Tantrum
Before It Starts

Before you look at anything else on this site, grab this. It's a free guide: five simple, specific shifts you can start using today, the next time a tantrum starts building.

No training required, no email spam, no sales pitch buried inside it. Just something you can actually use tonight, the next time things start to unravel at the dinner table or in the checkout line.

We built it as a starting point on purpose. If it's useful, the Raised Whole Behavior Toolkit has nineteen more just like it, for nineteen more everyday moments.

Why this exists

You shouldn't have to choose between being understood and being given real answers

Most parenting advice falls into one of two categories: either it's warm and reassuring but vague  "trust your instincts," "this too shall pass"  or it's technical and thorough but written for clinicians, not for a parent standing in a kitchen at 6pm with a child mid-meltdown.

Neither one is enough on its own. The first doesn't tell you what to actually do, and the second doesn't acknowledge how hard the moment feels while you're in it.

Raised Whole lives in the space between those two. Every guide starts by naming what you're feeling and why the behavior is happening  not just the child's, but the exhaustion, the frustration, and the self-doubt that shows up in you, too.

Then it moves into real behavioral science, the same research base that shapes clinical practice, translated into something short, specific, and usable in the actual moment it's needed.

No 40-page workbooks. No jargon. No guilt. Just a calm explanation of what's happening, a script you can actually say out loud, and a next step that fits into a real day with a real kid in it.

We're not here to tell you that you're doing it wrong. We're here to hand you the next helpful thing to try.

Our approach

The Whole Child,
Whole Family™ Approach

Behavior never happens in isolation. A tantrum isn't just about the child having it. It's shaped by how much sleep everyone got, what else is happening in the family that day, and how steady or stretched thin the adults in the room are feeling.

The Child The Family The Parent EVERY GUIDE

The Child

Developmental stage and what's realistic to expect from them.

The Family

Day-to-day rhythm and routines that shape every interaction.

The Parent

Your own capacity in that moment, because hard day strategies matter most.

This is why our guides don't just hand you a script for the child. They also name what's reasonable to expect from yourself, and they build in room for the moments that don't go according to plan.

It's the throughline in every resource we make: not just "what should the child do differently," but "what does this whole family need to move through this moment well."

Every guide, every tool, every tip on this site is built from that same lens: the whole child, and the whole family around them.

Who's behind this

Real training. Real research. Real family.

Raised Whole was built by Gilbert and Anastasia, a husband and wife team with real behavioral science training and two daughters of their own to raise while putting it into practice.

G

Gilbert — Behaviorist, M.Ed.

Focuses on practical, day to day questions: how to defuse a meltdown, hold a boundary without a power struggle, and build routines that stick.

A

Anastasia — Behaviorist, M.S.Ed. in Special Education

Leads research and content, ensuring every guide is grounded in peer reviewed evidence, then translated into something a tired parent can use.

Parents don't need more guilt or more theory. They need a calm explanation and a next step that fits real life.

Built for real life

Not another parenting book
to feel behind on

We built this the way we parent: no filler, no guilt trips, nothing you have to finish before it's useful.

The difference

Fast to use

Each guide is about a five minute read, built for the car, the kitchen counter, or the hallway outside a bedroom door at bedtime.
